Authors

Randall L. Englund is an independent project management executive consultant, author, trainer, speaker,and profesional facilitator, He founded his own consulting business, Creating an Environment for Project Success  (CEPS), now known as the Englund Project Management Consultancy (Englund PMC). He facilitates programs on Creating an Environment for Sucessful Projects, Project Sponsorship, Creating Excellence in Project Management, Optimizing Results from Projects in Organizations, Breakthrough Project Management, Operating Projects Accross Organizations, and Project Leadership. He speaks world-wide to management teams and coaches executives about their role to create an environment that optimizes results from project-based work, and he consults with clients to implement a Project Office and Project Portfolio Management. During his 22 years at HP, Randy was a program manager in computer system product development and participated in new product development teams, bringing personal computers to market and resolving difficult cross-organizational issues. Randy also worked for General Electric Medical Systems as a field service installation supervisor. He initiated there a project office.

He co-authored Project Sponsorship:  Achieving Management Commitment for Project Success, in 2006 from Jossey-Bass Publishers.  Alfonso Bucero of BUCERO PM Consulting in Madrid, Spain is co-author.  Randy occasionally presents webinars, such as "Negotiating for Project Success" for Cadence Management Corporation..

Randy holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.B.A. in Management from San Francisco State University, an honorary Engineering and Management degree from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, and attended Stanford University's Mastering the Project Portfolio Program. He is a certified by PDMA as a New Product Development Professional (NPDP) and as aCertified Business Manager (CBM) by the Association of Professionals in Business Management. To create memorable experiences, Randy uses full multimedia capabilities, interactive discussions, and a systems approach to organizational learning.

He was awarded as a Beta Gamma Sigma member, earning lifetime recognition for exemplary achievements in business academics.

Alfonso Bucero, is a PMP (Project Management Professional), Founder and Partner of BUCERO PM Consulting. He was a Senior Project Manager for Hewlett-Packard Spain in Madrid for more than thirteen years. He joined PMI as a member in 1993 and he is also a member of AEPM, ALI, and AEIPRO. He was the founder and former president for PMI Barcelona Chapter and International PM Assessor for GPMA. Alfonso has a Computer Science Engineering degree by the Polithecniocal University (Madrid), he has 28 years of experience. He has managed projects in Spain, Italy, Portugal and US. He is a frequent speaker at local and international Conferences and Congresses since 1994. Alfonso has delivered PM consulting and training services in Spain, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Czequia, France, Greece, Russia, Denmark, Holland, Poland, Rumania, USA, Mexico and Singapur. Alfonso is co-author of the book “Project Sponsorship – Achieving Management Commitment for project success”, that was published by Jossey-Bass editors on May 2006. Since 2004 publishes periodically a column in the PM Network magazine, published by the “Project Management Institute”.
